Alliance of Pooled Trust (APT) was founded in 2021 to combat the challenges facing the Pooled Trust industry and connect Pooled Special Needs Trust (PSNT) providers.

Mission

To inform, educate and facilitate communication among Pooled Special Needs Trust providers by establishing and maintaining best practices for the benefit of the communities they serve.

Vision

APT envisions a world where all pooled trusts maintain best practices to ensure that exceptional services are provided to people with disabilities.

APT functions at a regional as well as a national level. APT is divided into chapters to mirror the 10 Social Security Administration and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regions.

Each cohort has the ability to collaborate and focus on challenges specific to their region. All regions occasionally come together as a national organization.

Ron M. Landsman

The Alliance of Pooled Trusts acknowledges the loss of Ron M. Landsman, an attorney who devoted most of his career to advocating for the Medicaid rights of seniors and people with disabilities to ensure their benefits remained intact through litigation, amicus briefs, and education. Ron was a special friend to Pooled Special Needs Trusts, having created Master Trust documents, served on boards, and provided legal representation for nonprofit organizations administering Pooled Special Needs Trusts. He believed in the Pooled Trust mission and was committed to serving as needed.

Therefore, the Alliance of Pooled Trusts is honored to rename its Allied Professional support level to the Ron M Landsman Allied Professional.

Membership is open to Pooled Trust organizations and affiliates, as well as persons, groups or organizations interested in supporting the Pooled Trust community and the individuals with disabilities they serve. Membership at any level is not an endorsement by the Alliance of Pooled Trusts.
